1 Oz High Quality Persian / Iranian Saffron (ISO Certified)

1 Oz High Quality Persian / Iranian Saffron (ISO Certified) Review

1 Oz High Quality Persian / Iranian Saffron (ISO Certified) Feature

  • Grade I Coupe Saffron
  • 100% Pure Saffron Threads / Filaments
  • Highest Coloring Strength besed on ISO Standards
  • ISO & HACCP Certified
  • All Red. No Flower Waste (yellow parts) added
Saffron must have the following characteristics to be considered pure and fresh: 1- Saffron threads (filaments) are all vivid crimson color with a slightly lighter orange-red color on the tips. This indicates that it's not cheap saffron that has been tinted red to look expensive. Note: If saffron threads display telltale dull brick red coloring, it's an indication of age and very low quality. 2- Aroma is strong and fresh. 3- No other yellow plant parts (style) should be mixed in with the red threads. Note: The yellow parts are flower wastes and don't have any of the saffron benefits, but they sure do add a lot of dead weight. 4- Saffron threads are dry and brittle to the touch. Note: If the threads are not dry, it indicates that your saffron has a lot of moisture trapped inside, and you will be paying for a lot of dead weight. Not only our saffron meets all the above requirements, but also it goes above and beyond you expectations. NO chemical material was used for cultivation of our saffron. It has NO synthetic pesticides, NO food additives, NO preservative substances, and NO synthetic food coloring, so based on these true facts, we can claim that our Grade I saffron is ORGANIC. It has received ISO, and HACCP International Certificates, so place your order with confidence and enjoy.

One Ounce Tin of Princesa de Minaya Saffron by La Tienda

One Ounce Tin of Princesa de Minaya Saffron by La Tienda Review

One Ounce Tin of Princesa de Minaya Saffron by La Tienda Feature

  • The Best Saffron in the World
'Princesa de Minaya? is ?An artisanal saffron of immense quality? quotes 'Lo Mejor de la Gastronomia' - the definitive gourmet food guide in Spain. Unquestionably the best of the best, La Tienda can bring it to your kitchen because the family that produces the saffron is satisfied with the life they have: producing the best, and in low volume. Our order meets their personal needs, they dream of no more. They collect, prune and toast it themselves on a daily basis during the harvest, which has a decisive effect on its aromatic, flavor profile and coloring strength?and all three are very intense. Their production for the year is no more than 50lbs. depending on the harvest. Your purchase supports an artisan industry that might otherwise vanish. For several generations the family of Maria Ángeles and Juan Antonio Serrano has cultivated the highest quality saffron in Spain on their ten acre plot. It takes about 5,500 crocus flowers to obtain the 28 grams of saffron you find packed in this tin. Since saffron is such a precious condiment, the market is being flooded with many inferior grades and outright counterfeits. The Serrano family affixes the ?Denomination of Origin La Mancha? seal on each tin, so that you will be guaranteed that Princesa de Minaya is actually grown in La Mancha, the site of the finest saffron (azafrán) in the world.

ExirTM Saffron tea makes a delicious energizing and refreshing herbal tea with a wealth of health benefits. Organic, Contains No caffeine. Here is a review of Dear Pharmacist, Dr. Suzy Cohen regarding Exir Saffron. Saffron imparts a distinctive taste and aroma along with a lovely yellow color to a variety of exotic dishes. I stir it into rice, soups and teas. As a pharmacist who pays attention to alternative remedies, I can't help but note that any herb that's been used for centuries likely has something going for it. Sure enough, researchers are starting to verify the amazing healing potential of saffron in clinical studies. Saffron is a super strong antioxidant with "housekeeping" benefits that clean you up from head to toe. Pay attention here because I'm going to summarize the research. Saffron has anti-cancer effects, for all sorts of tumors. It enhances male fertility. It helps relieve anxiety and tension. And ladies, it eases the discomforts of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). In Texas, researchers proved that saffron improves circulation to the retina so it's a promising treatment for macular degeneration, a major cause of blindness. One clinical trial concluded "preliminary evidence of a possible therapeutic effect of saffron extract in the treatment of mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease." It's also an anti-spasmodic. Whew! Do you see why I think Saffron is one of the best kept health secrets?! If you'd like to try a saffron make sure you buy from a reputable company, such as Exir. I have to warn you, pure authentic saffron is expensive, but worth it. Fake makers of it cut the saffron with other yellow-orange spices but Exir is 100 percent saffron, and they source from organic flowers. It's not popular (yet) so you will need to ask your local health food store to order it, or just buy it online like I did at Epicure Garden.

Vigo Saffron 1/2 Gram Review

Vigo Saffron 1/2 Gram Feature

  • Imported from Spain
Saffron is a native spice of Asia. Used since ancient times, it has remained highly prized for its unique taste and aroma, and the wonderful flavor it imparts to foods. Saffron is derived by picking the filaments or stigmas of a particular crocus plant, Crocus Sativus. It takes about 75,000 flowers to yield one pound of saffron. It is planted, picked, and sorted by hand, hence earning the title as the world's most exotic spice. Saffron is a natural spice, whose flavor cannot be duplicated. Saffon is the traditional flavoring of many European dishes, such as French Bouillabaisse, Spanish Paella and Milanese Risotto, and is used extensively in middle eastern cookery. A pinch will color and flavor one pound of rice.
